Goldie
Nigerian singer and former Africa reality show contestant, Big Brother House Mate, Miss Susan Oluwabimpe a.k.a Goldie, is dead.
Details of her death are still not so clear but media reports say she passed on last night at Reddington Hospital, Victoria Island, Lagos in the arms of her close friend, Denrele.
Goldie had just returned to Nigeria from the U.S where she attended the Grammy Awards with her record label, Kennis Music boss, Kenny Ogungbe.
Denrele, her very close friend who in a couple of weeks was set to start up a reality TV series called "Tru Friendship" confirmed this in a phone conversation few minutes after she passed.
Her death is so sad and sudden and comes as a deep shock to to Nigerians. Goldie reportedly returned from the U.S. on Thursday before she suddenly fell ill and was taken to the hospital where she died.
“It is with heavy heart that I have to inform you all that Goldie passed this night shortly after arriving Lagos from LA. May her soul rest in the eternal peace of the Lord – Admin!!” her management announced on her Facebook page Thursday night.
The same message was also tweeted with her handle @goldieharvey.
