Another Veteran Nollywood actor Dies. Justus Esiri nollywood actor who shot into limelight in the 80s as headmaster in the popular TV drama series The New Village Headmaster, and father to music artist, Sidney Onoriode Esiri better known as Dr SID sources says died last Night.
The cause of Justus Esiri's death has been attributed to a brief illness. The death of the veteran actor is a shock to many people.Niece of the actor and beautician, Juliet Esiri of Okin Arewa said “I wish its all a dream”
He was aged 71 and he would be remembered for his invaluable contributions to the Nigerian movie industry and entertainment in general.
He was a Member of the Order of the Niger (MON), and has starred in several Nollywood movies like ‘The three widows’, ‘Bad egg’, ‘I am the king’,'Sons of the state’ and many more.
Justus Esiri is Urohobo and hails from Delta State, Nigeria, he attended Urohobo College for his secondary school education where he picked up interest in acting as a member of the Debating and Dramatic society. He studied Engineering in Germany there in Europe, he fell in love with acting. on his return back home to Nigeria, he translated and read news in German in Voice of Nigeria. He is survived by his wife and six children.
