Governor Babatunde Fashola Bequeats the Sum of N59m to the Super Eagles




The Lagos State Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) on Friday became the latest benefactor of the winning team, as he bequeated a sum of N59. 000 million to the Nigerian Super Eagles in appreciation for bringing the (AFCON) cup home, and for their exploits at the just-concluded African Cup of Nations  which took place in South Africa.




A breakdown of the figures given shows that coach Stephen Keshi , got the sum of N2.5, 000 million, while his immediate assistant, Daniel Amokachi, got N2, 000 million and captain of the team, Joseph Yobo, got the sum of N1.5, 000 million.


Four other assistant coaches got the sum of N1.5, 000 million each, while the 22 other members of the team got the sum of N1, 000 million each and N500, 000 per goal for each of the 11 goals they scored during the tournament, while N15, 000 million was donated to the backroom staff of the Super Eagles.
sources revealed the Rauf Oladipo-led Supporters’ Club also got N4.5 million, bringing the sum total to N59 million.
